Wednesday, August 7 through August 20 – Central Market Hatch Chili Fest

Central Market kicked off its annual Hatch Chili festival on Wednesday. Throughout the celebration, Central Market will be hosting a number chili-themed events and promotions, including cooking classes, recipe contests, in store tastings, and special menu items, all of which put the addictive hatch chili center stage. Saturday, August 10 – Banger’s Smoke Out Saturday

Banger’s monthly Smoke Out Saturday event returns this weekend from noon until 11pm. During the event, Banger’s will take guests on a culinary tour through New England complete with both a clam and lobster bake. Other menu items include bean pie, rhubard pie, and Johnny cakes. In addition to delicious eats, there will be a live Bluegrass showcase with musical guests Appalachian Dinosaur Exhibit and The Bluegrass Outfit.

Sunday, August 11 – BC Smoke Shop Presents Breaking Bad at the North Door

Addicted to Breaking Bad? Get your fix this Sunday beginning at 7pm by heading to the North Door for a free screening of the Season 5 finale, followed immediately by the Season 6 premier at 8pm. Drink specials, including an appropriately themed “blue meth” floater in every glass, will be available throughout the evening. Tuesday, August 13 – Sustainable Food Center Dinner @parkside

Parkside is hosting Summer Sparkling Dinner to benefit the SFC on Tuesday, August 13 at 7pm. The multicourse dinner featuring locally sourced dishes such as smoked grouper and poached chicken and sparkling wine pairings with each course. Cost to attend is $100/pp and tickets are available here.

 Wednesday, August 14 – Bourbon Barrel Bash at Jack Allen’s Kitchen

Head to Jack Allen’s Kitchen Oak Hill location for bourbon soaked bash featuring eats, music, and of course, plenty of drinks. Enjoy complimentary apps from 5-7 to pair alongside tastings of Kentucky Eagle Rare 10 Year Single Barrel Bourbon. After warming up the palate, enjoy $5 Eagle Rare and Buffalo Trace drinks specially created for the evening. Event menu below!
