In recent years, Spanish wines have become well known based on their reputation for being both high in quality and value. Winemakers from Spain’s renowned Ribera del Duero region, located along the banks of the country’s Duero River, are distinguished by their use of the Tempranillo grape in creating red wines. In fact, the area government’s quality control regulations stipulate wines from the region must be composed of at least 75% Tempranillo grapes. In 2012, the region was lauded by Wine Enthusiast Magazine as wine region of the year.

Sunday’s event begins at noon with an industry-only seminar headed by Master Sommelier Devon Broglie. Following the seminar at 2pm, there will be a Grand Tasting event celebrating Ribera wine. The Grand Tasting event is open to the public. Cost to attend is $45/pp, and tickets and more information can be found here.
