Friday, November 30:

The Scrumptious Chef R.L. Reeves, Jr. is back again with another installment of his popular Chef Pop-Up series. This time Reeves, Jr. is moving from trailer to brick and mortar by taking over Tamale House East for a special dinner event featuring brisket and pork belly as the star ingredients. In addition to good eats, Sam Hovland from East End Wines has hand-selected wallet friendly wines to pair with the night’s menu. The evening kicks off at 5PM. Full menu and other details available here.

Friday is the final day in Movember, the month long mustache-growing fest aimed at raising funds and awareness for prostate and testicular cancer. To mark the end of Movember, the folks behind the Austin chapter are throwing an official Gala Parte complete with a contest to determine who is rocking the best ‘stache. The event takes place at Emo’s East from 8pm-1am, with judging beginning at 9:30pm. Tickets are $10 and available for purchase here.

In addition to twinkling lights, the evening will feature live music, food, and festive fun for the whole family. More details, parking, and music line up can be found here.
